Rollie E. Williams, 91 of McConnelsville died Sunday, July 24, 2011 at 8:15 P.M. at the Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville after a lengthy illness. He was born in Gaysport, Ohio on October 9, 1919 to the Late James Clark and Harriet Awilda Trout Williams. He worked at the AEP Muskingum River Plant in Beverly until his retirement in 1983. He then was associated with DJ Reality in McConnelsville. He was a graduate of the M&M High School class of 1937, Member of the Malta United Methodist Church, 50 year Member of Lafayette Lodge # 79 F&AM in Zanesville, Cambridge Scottish Rite, OES #19 in McConnelsville, Morgan County Shrine Club, Aladdin Temple Shrine, AEP Veteran Association, and an Honorary member of the Valley Lodge #145 of Malta. He is survived by his wife of 62 years (July 3, 1949) Irene King Williams of the home, 3 sons, Ed (Linda) Williams of Zanesville, Tim (Kim) Williams of Crooksville, and Matt (Joni) Williams of Powell, 2 daughters, Stephanie (Jim) Knouff of Cambridge, and Deborah (Steve) Willison of Groveport, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by 2 brothers, Glen and Dale and one sister Nellie Mae. Services will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Church of The Gospel Ministry in McConnelsville with Pastor Galen Finley officiating. Burial will follow in the Zanesville Memorial Park with veteran services provided by the Morgan County Veteran Association. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville with Masonic services following at 8 P.M. Donations may be made to the M&M Fire Department in Rollie's name.
