Ronald E. Coler 79, of 269 Rear West Jefferson Ave McConnelsville passed away at 6 :15 p.m. October 30, 2011 at his home. He was born June 19, 1932 in Penn Township, Morgan County the son of the late Fred M. Coler and Irene Bingman Coler . He was a 1950 graduate of M&M High School and worked at Federal Mogul and Clevite for many years. He was a past master and member of the Corinthian Lodge 111 F&AM of McConnelsville and the VFW Post 4713 in Malta. He was a Army Veteran of the Korean War, a member of the Malta United Methodist Church in Malta,past member of the Stockport EMS for 25 years of service, former member of the Stockport Village council and former member of the Malta Village council and also a member of the Ohio State Patrol Auxilary. He is survived by his wife Sylvia Niceswanger Coler whom he married Dec. 28, 1952; three daughters Susan (Wess) Hogue of Adairsville, Georgia;Cathy (Pete) Sparling of Fleming, Ohio and Rhonda (Barry) Carr of Chesterhill; eight grandchildren John,Carletta, Jason,Taneka,Coletta,Harvest, Sierra, and Clinton; thirteen great grandchildren; one sister Retha (Roger) Teters of Reynoldsburg and one brother Larry Coler of Marietta. Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8p.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville where services will be held at 11:00a.m. Thursday. Burial will follow in the McConnelsville Cemetery with military rites by the Morgan County Veterans. Masonic services will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
