Ronel Lester Wingrove, 79 of Walker, West Virginia, went to be with his lord and savior on Mon, Aug. 17, 2026. He was born on May 2, 1947 in Walker, W.Va. to the late Castle and Malva Wingrove. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force and retired from Eramet Corp. in Marietta. He was a member of the Kites Run Church. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Karen Debra Kidd Wingrove of the home, 2 daughters, Deborah Stroehman of Parkersburg and Rebekah Wagner of Stockport, a brother, Roma Wingrove of Parkersburg and 8 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Roger Wingrove and 2 sisters, Loretta McCoy and Lenora Bly. Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville is handling a caring cremation for the family.
