Rosemary M. Tennent, 82, of McConnelsville, passed away at 5:15 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015, at The Oaks at Northpointe in Zanesville.

She was born June 11, 1932, in Morgan County, to the late Edgar Dimmerling and Lucy Thompson Dimmerling.

Rosemary was retired from Malta Manufacturing Company and was a member of the St. James Catholic Church in McConnelsville. She loved quilting and gardening and had owned a pottery shop. She also had taught painting lessons.

She is survived by two sons, Bill Tennent of Zanesville and John (Alma) Tennent of McConnelsville; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Delores Steed of Sarahsville, Phyllis Phillis of McConnelsville, and Anna Reed of Seneca Lake.

* In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Dwight Dimmerling and Junior Dimmerling.

A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 5, at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home with Father Paul Walker officiating.

She will be laid to rest in Carmel Cemetery, near McConnelsville.
