Rowlie Sermon, 70, of McConnelsville, passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at the Morrison House Hospice in Zanesville.  He was born on Sept. 6, 1950 in Louisville, Ky to the late Martin and Maggie Matthews Sermon.  He worked as a drywaller for Valley Interiors in Columbus out of Local # 200.  He is survived by a son Merlin (Carrie) Sermon of Stockport, a daughter, Jenny (Derek) Peters of Stockport, 2 brothers, Ollie and Tommy Sermon both of Louisville, Ky, a sister, Carol Sermon of Louisville, Ky, 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Shelia Millican Sermon, 4 brothers and a sister.  A graveside service will be held on Tues, Aug. 3, 2021 at 12:00 Noon at the Malta Cemetery.  Friends may call on the family 1 hour prior to the services at the Malta cemetery.  Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville is handling the arrangements.  To send a note of condolence to the family go to www.matheneyfh.com.
