View a Video Memorial Roy L. "Butch" Norris, 65 of Chesterhill, died on Friday, April 20, 2012 at 11:15 P.M. at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born on August 31, 1946 in Athens County to the late Dana and Viola Harris Norris. He worked at Dupont in Parkersburg as an electrician for thirty eight years. After his retirement he took a job with Finley Fire Equipment driving Fire Trucks throughout the Country. He loved doing this and also riding his Harley Davidson. Butch was a member of the Apostolic Pentecostal Tabernacle in Chesterhill. He is survived by his wife, Patricia "Tret" Kennedy Norris of the home; one daughter, Andrea Norris (Brian Kincaid) of Chesterhill; a special "grandchild", Remi Rush, and brother-in-law, Ryan Rush, both of Chesterhill; two beloved sisters, Patty Smith, and Beverly (Greg) Smith, both of Cutler. He was preceded in death by his parents. Services will be Wednesday, April 25, at 1:00 p.m. at the Mt. Hermon Church with Pastor Junior Walker officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Hermon Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill.
