Roy E. Patterson, 72, of McConnelsville passed away at 11:40 p.m. Sunday, December 24, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 16, 1945 in Zanesville to the late Clifford D. Patterson and Frances Spencer Patterson. Roy was retired from Gould Corporation of McConnelsville after 38 years of service. He was a life long farmer and was a member of the Deerfield Presbyterian Church. Roy was a former member of the M. & M. Fire Dept. for 13 years and was a captain. He was also a former member of the M. & M. Jaycees. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Janice Pauley Patterson; his children, Tim (Beth) Patterson of Long Beach, Cal., Julie Brumbaugh of Westerville, and John (Hayley) Patterson of Malta; two granddaughters, Rebekah Brumbaugh and Emma Hook. Roy is also survived by his beloved dog, Blu. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Quaranta. Calling hours will be Friday, December 29, 2107 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Miler-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville where funeral services will be held Saturday, December 30, 2107 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Galen Finley officiating.
