Ruth Elizabeth Jarrett Campbell, 86 of Malta, went to be with the Lord Monday, Sept. 30, 2013 at 7:26 A.M. at the Highland Oaks Nursing Home in McConnelsville. She was born on Aug. 23, 1927 in Zanesville to the late Granville and Margaret Jarrett. She is reunited in Heaven with her husband Frank with whom she was married to for 62 years prior to his death Oct. 15, 2006. From this marriage were born eight children. Three daughters: Penny (Charlie) Price of Malta, Ginger Campbell of Malta, and Becky (Lee) Hill of Malta.Five Sons: Frank E. (Nancy) Campbell Jr. of Cambridge, Rick (Charlene) Campbell, Terry Campbell, Steve (Joyce) Campbell, Cecil (Terri) Campbell of Malta.There are 17 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.Ruth has one brother Jerry Jarrett of South Zanesville and a sister Rose Brown of Zanesville. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Frank E. Campbell, two brothers, Melvin and Bob Jarrett, four sisters, Velma "Sis" Tipton, Ginny Kirkbride, Margaret Vaugh and Connie Cole, one granddaughter Jamie Leigh Campbell and one great grandson Gregory Westfall. Ruth (Ruthie) a homemaker, a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was of "Better To Give Than Receive" and God, Family and her Church was everything to her. When all of her family was in church was when Ruth was the happiest.She was a member of The Fairview Holiness Church. Friends may call on the family from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Thursday, Oct. 3 at the Matheney Funeral Home at 165 N. Kennebec Ave. McConnelsville, Ohio and one hour prior to the services at the church on the day of the funeral.Funeral services will be held at The Fairview Holiness Church Friday Oct. 4 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Arnold VanHorn officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery.
