Ruth A. Gillespie, 76, of Stockport, passed away on Fri, Nov. 3, 2023 at the Marietta Memorial Hospital.  She was born in Blood, Illinois to the late John and Zona Hartleben Gillard.  She worked at Malta Manufacturing and was a member of the Tabor Ridge Church of Christ.  She is survived by 5 sons, John Gillespie of Stockport, James Gillespie of Stockport, Joshua Gillespie of Stockport, Jeremiah Gillespie of McConnelsville and Joseph Gillespie of Amesville, a brother, John Gillard of Marietta, a sister, Clara Gillard of Stockport, 9 grandchildren and a great granddaughter.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Husband, Marion Davis Gillespie "Sonny", a brother, Larry Gillard and 4 sisters, Wendy Waite, Georgia Pitz, Mary Davis and Rita Baker.  A celebration of life service will be held on Sat, Nov. 18, 2023 at the Tabor Ridge Church of Christ at6 10:30 A.M.  Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill is handling the arrangements.  To send a note of condolence to the family go to www.matheneyfh.com.
