Samuel J. Crandall  22, of McConnelsville, passed away at 10:33 p.m. March 3, 2016 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville.  He was born June 23, 1993 in Marietta  the son of Norvel Hemkes Crandall and the late Randy Crandall. He was a packer for Miba Sinter in McConnelsville and a 2010 graduate of Morgan High School. He was Catholic by faith. He is survived by his mother Norval Crandall, brothers Harold Crandall of Tremont, Pa., Aaron Crandall of Dayton, Stuart  Crandall of the home and Jacob Crandall of Stockport, Maternal grandmother Elizabeth Hemkes of McConnelsville,   Paternal grandparents James and Sylvia Crandall of Waterville, New York; aunts Cheryl Blakely and Crystal (Roc) Langone, uncles Rodney (Diane) Crandall and Jamie (Jessica) Crandall. He was preceded in death by his father Randy Crandall and maternal grandfather William Hemkes.  Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville. Memorial services will be held at 1 :30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Monsignor Robert Kawa  officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
