Shawna Lynn Jewell, 37, of Pataskala, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015.

She was born to Terry and Carol Jewell in Zanesville, Ohio on January 9, 1978, with her identical twin sister, Shanna.

She graduated from Morgan High School and attended Washington State Community College. She married her high school sweetheart, Jeremiah Eby, on March 11, 2001. Though diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 30, her bravery and strength never wavered. Cancer may have taken her body, but it didn't weaken her spirit or soul. She never felt sorry for herself and never let cancer define who she was. She had the most innocent and kind heart of anyone you could ever meet, and was known for her smile and laugh. She was an amazingly beautiful person inside and out and would light a room up with her eyes and smile. She will be missed more than anyone will ever know.

Shawna is survived by her husband, Jeremiah Eby; baby yorkie, Zoe Lynn; mother and father, Terry and Carol Jewell; identical twin sister, Shanna Jewell; and brother, Lee Jewell.

* Visitation hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 1, at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 2, at St. James Catholic Church in McConnelsville.

Burial will follow in McConnelsville Cemetery.
