Shelby Jean Davis Work, 75, of 43 N. 9th Street, McConnelsville, passed away at 9:16 a.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at the Highland Oaks Health Center in McConnelsville.

She was born March 6, 1937 in Chesterhill to the late Fletcher Davis and Gladys Brawley Davis.

Shelby was a homemaker and was a member of the Lifeway Church in South Zanesville. She was also a caregiver for the residents of the McConnel Manor in McConnelsville.

She is survived by a daughter, Cindy (Darel) Kuntz of McConnelsville; two sons, Jeff (Charity) Work of Malta and David (Lori) Work of McConnelsville; a brother, Dick Davis of Rokeby Lock; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Terry Work; and four brothers, Hugh Davis, Ronald Davis, Bernard Davis, and John Davis.

Calling hours will be Thursday, Feb. 14, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville, where funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Arthur Potts officiating.

Shelby will be laid to rest in Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
