Shirley L. Murphey, 83, of Pennsville, passed away on Sun, Dec. 5, 2021 at the Riverside Landing Nursing Home in McConnelsville.  She was born on March 4, 1938 in Meigs, Ohio to the late William and Freda North Stobart.  She was a homemaker and along with her husband Dwight traveled all over the country spreading the word of God in their ministry.  She was a member of the Malta Holiness Church in Malta.  She is survived by 2 sons, Gregg (Lisa) Murphey of Windber, Pa and Steve (Rhonda) Murphey of Pennsville, a daughter, Marilyn Shifflet of Marion, a sister, Vickie Canny of Minneapolis, Mn, 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Dwight Murphey, 2 grandchildren, Jeremy Murphey and Mike Corwin, 4 brothers, a sister, and a son-in-Law, Ted Shifflet.  A graveside service will be held on Thurs, Dec. 9, 2021 at 12 Noon at the Murphey Family Cemetery in Pennsville.  Friends may call on the family on Weds, Dec. 8 from 4-7 P.M. at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill.  To send a note of condolence to the family go to www.matheneyfh.com.
