Shirley Ann Skaggs, 74, of Stockport, died Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at 8:35p.m. at the Genesis Health and Rehab in McConnelsville. She was born on September 2, 1935 in Mt. Sterling to the late John and Rachel Stroup. She was a homemaker and enjoyed her family. She is survived by three sons, John L. Skaggs of Whitehall, Johnny Skaggs of Junction City, and Kenneth Skaggs of Columbus, five, daughters, Roxanne Ball of Columbus, Nancy Hammon of Toledo, Esta Burgett of Stockport, Beatrice Burgett of Stockport, and Misty Mayle of Stockport, one brother, Larry Stroup of Columbus, twenty two grandchildren, thirty three great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Edward Skaggs, two sisters, Laura Bocook and Vivian Armentrout, and one brother, Johnny Stroup. Friends may call on Saturday, January 2, 2010 from 2-4p.m at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville. Burial will be at a later date and time.
