Shirley C. Slisher Age 72 of Malta: To some a friend but to us our mom is resting in the everlasting arms of our savior, died Weds. July 22, 2009 at the Genesis Morrison House in Zanesville at 2:50 am. She was born in Moundsville West Virginia on April 25, 1937 to the late Charles Richmond and Grace Moore Inderiden. She retired from Malta Manufacturing in Malta. She was a member of the Malta Bible Church in Malta and the Morgan Ladies Golf League. She loved to sew, quilt, cook, work in her garden and spend time with her family. She is survived by three sons, Charles E. and Heidi (Hartman) Slisher of Newark, Dan and Marla Slisher of Chesterhill, and Rod and Janet Slisher of Chesterhill, One daughter, Kelly and Mike Wells of Malta, one special step-sister, Mary Funk of McConnelsville, nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, stepmother, Ruth Richmond Earich, husband Charles Slisher one brother, Richard K. Richmond and one infant brother Charles W. Richmond. Services will be held Sat. July 25 at the Malta Bible Church at 11:00a.m with Pastor Mike Wells officiating with burial following at the Malta Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday July 24 from 4-8p.m. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville.
