Stephen A. Scoles, 63, of Pennsville, formerly of Columbus went to be with the Lord after a long illness. He was born on July 12, 1951 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Albert H. and Patricia A. Steffe Scoles. He worked for many years for the Ohio Dept. of Mental Health in the Columbus area and then retired from the Ohio EPA where he was the Deputy Director. He was a member of the Antioch Church of Christ near Pennsville. He was a very loving family man and enjoyed fishing and traveling. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Fonnie Caines Scoles of the home, 3 brothers, Michael Scoles of Cedarville, ILL, John "Chris" Scoles of Knoxville, TN and Paul Scoles of Laurelville, OH, 2 sisters, Mary Scoles of Bodega Bay, CA and Katie Haas of Newark, OH, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and beloved friends. He is preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be held on Sat. June 27, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at the Antioch Church of Christ with Danny Hickerson officiating.
