Carolyn Sue Jewell, 77, of McConnelsville, died on Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014 at the Highland Oaks Nursing Home in McConnelsville. She was born on Sept. 22, 1936 in Malta, Ohio to the late Harold E. and Verna V. Baker Wood. She was a homemaker and a Methodist by faith. She was a member of the American Legion Post #24 ladies Aux., McConnelsville, Eagles #2187 Ladies Aux., McConnelsville Lady Shriners and the Order of Eastern Star of McConnelsville. She is survived by her husband of 59 years Kash Jewell of the home, 1 son, Terry (Carol) Jewell of Rokeby Locks, 3 daughters, Debra (Gerald) Tomplait of Nashport, Kristie (Roger) Reed of Waterford and Kellie Harlow of Zanesville, 10 grandchildren 11 great grandchildren and 1 cousin Linda (Don) Drake of Malta. She is preceded in death by her parents and 1 grandson, Kruz Jewell. A memorial service in Sue's honor will be held on Tues., Sept. 2, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville.
