Susan J. Woodward 69, of McConnelsville passed away Friday, February 9, 2024  at her home with her family by her side. She was born April 25, 1954  the daughter of the late, Paul Bone and Kenyon Best Bone. Susan worked for Finley Fire Equipment, Dr. Murrell, McConnelsville IGA, Muskingum Valley Grocery, and was a member of the McConnelsville Eagles Auxiliary. She fought a courageous  battle with MS for 23 years. Susan was a loving wife and mother and loved her family unconditionally. She is survived by her husband, Gary Woodward whom she married July 22, 1973; daughter,  Jodi Woodward;  son, Jacob (Sara) Woodward; sisters, Nancy (Doug) Mercer, Bonnie (Martin) Ruder;  brothers,  David (Ellen) Bone, Danny (LInda Robertson) Bone and Bruce (Gloria) Cumberledge; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Betty Munn, Esther Smith, Phyllis Strode, and Leah Mahon. Calling hours will be held 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday with Sanford Short officiating. She will be laid to rest in McConnelsville Cemetery. The family would like to thank Shrivers Hospice caregivers for the excellent care she received while under their care.
