Sylvia G. Mayle, 97, of Athens, passed away on Tues. July 31, 2018 at the Laurels of Athens Nursing Home. She was born on March 13, 1921 in Cutler, Ohio to the late Ernest and Minnie Harris Croston. She worked for many years as a House Keeper around the Athens area. She is survived by her daughter, Lucinda Mayle of Athens, a brother, Alton Croston of Little Hocking and a sister, Alice Croston of Cutler and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, Irvin, Rufus, Donald and Gilbert Croston a sister Winnie Norris and a foster son Tony Cunningham. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, Aug. 2, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the Rockland Cemetery in Belpre with Pastor Junior Walker officiating.
