Terry D. "Oscar" Roberts, 62 of McConnelsville, died Thursday, June 10, 2010 at his residence. He was born April 22, 1948 in Zanesville Ohio to the late Oscar L. Roberts and Wanda L. Shinn Thomas. He was the owner operator of Roberts & Thomas Insurance Agency in McConnelsville and was an agent for E.D. Stone Agency in Westerville as well. He was a member of Corinthian Masonic Lodge #111 in McConnelsville where he was a past Master and Treasurer, The Valley of Cambridge Scottish Rite, Eagles #2187 of McConnelsville, Sons of The American Legion Post #24 in McConnelsville, and spent eighteen and a half years in the M&M Volunteer Fire Department where he was a Trustee and specialized as a pump operator. (One of the best M&M has ever had) He also enjoyed hunting and loved riding his Harley all over the United States. He is survived by one son Trent Roberts of Pennsville, one daughter, Kim Roberts of McConnelsville, and two grandchildren, Seth Roberts and Laekin Westfall. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Tom Roberts, and one sister, Kae Duskey. The family will be receiving friends on Saturday, June 19, 2010 from 11-1 P.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville with Honorary Fireman's services following.
