Thomas S. Morgan, 72, of McConnelsville passed away Sunday, October 11, 2020 at his home with his family at his side.  He was born January 31, 1948 in Zanesville to the late Scott Morgan and Kathryn Sagel Morgan. Thomas was retired from the Central Ohio Coal Co. where he had worked for 38 and 1/2 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and was a member of the American Legion Post # 389 of Beverly. He was a lifetime member of the NRA and was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. Tom was also a 45 year member of  the Morgan Family Deer Camp. He is survived by a daughter, Hope Marie (Jason) Campbell of Beverly; a son, Eric Scott Morgan of McConnelsville; five grandchildren; a sister, Sally Ireland of Chaplin, Conn. Also surviving is his significant other and best friend, Susie Spencer; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Wednesday, October 14, 2020 from 12-2 & 4-6 p.m. at  Miller-Huck Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Galen Finley officiating. After the service, military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post #24 Color Guard. Memorial contributions may be made to Shrivers Hospice, P. O. Box 8 Zanesville, Ohio 43702.
