Timothy H. Matheney, 76, of Chesterhill, passed away on Tues, Aug. 14, 2018 at his residence, following a long illness. He was born on Aug 3, 1942 in Zanesville to the late Homer and Georgia Butcher Matheney. He was the owner along with his wife of the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill. He was a member of the Chesterhill United Methodist Church, Lions Club and Masonic Lodge. He loved his music, fast cars, boats and motorcycles and was an avid golfer. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Susan Stone Matheney of the home, a daughter, Lori (William) Luttmer of Cincinnati, 2 sons, Rhett (Staci) Matheney of McConnelsville and Terry Fleming of Chesterhill, a sister, Becky Shuster of Beverly and 9 grandchildren, William, Cecilia, Isabella, St. Cyr, Adriana, Sophia and Carter Luttmer, Hayden and Lilly Matheney, several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Jerry Matheney and his grandson Austin Matheney. Services will be held on Sunday, Aug. 19, 2018 at 1:30 P.M. at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill. Burial will follow in the Chesterhill Cemetery. Friends may call on the family on Sat.
