Timothy (Tim) J. Turner, 58, of Stockport, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Oct. 22, 2019 surrounded by his loved ones. Tim was born May 18, 1961 in South Charleston, WV a son of the late Claude A. and Pearl Fox Turner. He grew up in W.V. and attended schools there until he moved to Stockport in 1990. Tim had been self-employed in the area for many years. He was a man who could build and repair anything. His skills were called upon by many people of the area. Tim was a gentle, kind and patient man who loved spending time with his family and being outdoors working. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his older brother Danny. He is survived by his sisters, Margaret Turner of Stockport and Romona (Ken) Thompson of Cross Lanes, WV. niece Katie (Nate) Bickett and a great niece and nephew Kaylie and Caden Bickett. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of the Strecker Cancer Center and the staff and nurses of Amedisys Hospice of Marietta. In lieu of flowers the family suggest making a donation to the American Cancer Society. Services will be at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill on Friday, Oct. 25, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. with visitation one hour prior to the service.
