Tina J. Spears, 59, of Stockport, passed away at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at the Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville surrounded by her loving family, due to complications from coronary bypass surgery. Despite a valiant effort by doctors, surgeons and staff. She was born on June 30, 1953 in Marietta. She was the daughter of Ilene Hooper (Fred) Lynn of Stockport. She is also survived by her husband of 42 years, Dean L. Spears Jr. of the home. A daughter Ashley J. Spears of Stockport, a son Broc A. (Andrea) Spears of McConnelsville, two grandsons, Colby and Flint Spears of McConnelsville, a sister, Jo Hooper of Belpre, her aunt and uncle Judy and Red Huffman of Stockport as well as numerous cousins. One infant daughter Brooke A. Spears preceded her in death. Tina will be remembered for her beautiful smile and infectious laughter as well as her love of dogs, flowers, and antique auctions. She will be greatly missed by her many friends and family as well as her co-workers at Muskingum Valley Health Center in Malta where she worked as a nurse. She also served two terms as a councilwoman for the village of Malta. Services will be held on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville with pastor Mike Wells officiating. Burial will follow in the Bailey Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call on the family on Saturday, August 25, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M.
