Verla Ann Blind, 86, of Dale, passed away on Sun. Oct. 15, 2017 at the Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born on June 5, 1931 in Newport, Ohio to the late Lucius and Dorotha Hoff Vandine. She worked as a homemaker raising her family and was a member of the Dale United Methodist Church. She is survived by 2 sons, Charles L. Blind of Dale and H. David Blind of Veto, 1 daughter, Katrina Miller of Dale, 2 brothers, Roy Vandine of Waco, Tx and Daniel Vandine of Stockport, 2 sisters, Erma Foster of Marietta and Patricia Groah of Stockport, 12 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Howard Blind and 2 brothers, Dean and Eugene Vandine. Services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at the Dale United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Dale Cemetery.
