Vern Allen Dille, 83, of Pennsville, passed away on Tues, Dec. 26, 2023 at his residence.  He was born on Nov. 2, 1940 in Bartlett, Ohio to the late Basil and Alda McCune Dille.  He worked his entire life as a lineman doing highline work for the IEBW out of Columbus.  He was a member of Webb #252 Masonic Lodge in Stockport and the Pennsville Vol. fire Dept.  He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Starr Davis Dille of the home, a son Vern (Dana) Dille Jr. (VJ) of Bellville, 3 step-sons, Jeff (Judy) Vincent of Carmel, In, Larry (Kim) Ewart of Malta and Derrick Ewart of Malta, a daughter, Beth Dille of Shelby, 3 step-daughters, Sharon (Kermit) White of Malta, Lisa Ewart of Stockport and Bonda (Brian) Sanders of Stockport, 3 brothers, Basil Dille of North Carolina, Curt Dille of Pennsville and Gary Dille of Green Leaf, WI, 2 sisters, Eva Allen of Hamilton and Beverly Mayle of Chesterhill, several grand, great grand and great great grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents, 1st wife, Pat Waite Dille, 5 brothers, Archie, David, Richard, Dana and Floyd, a sister, Linda McPeek and a Step-son, Kevin Vincent.  Services will be held on Sat. Dec. 30, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill with burial following in the Pennsville Cemetery.  Friends may call on the family on Fri, Dec. 29 from 5-7 P.M.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Shriver's Hospice Foundation.  To send a note of condolence to the family go to www.matheneyfh.com.
