Violet Galloway, 89, of McConnelsville, formerly of Chesterhill, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017 at the Genesis Hospital in Zanesville, Ohio. She was born on June 27, 1928 in Rutland, Ohio to the late Vinton and Sara Tabler. She retired from the Mark Rest Center Nursing Home where she worked in the housekeeping department. She was a member of the Church of God. She is survived by her daughter, Jeri Jean Tabler Pickett of Cleveland and what she called her grandchildren, Goldie the cat and Sam the dog. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard Galloway, 3 brothers, Merle, Russell and George Tabler and 2 sisters, Flora and Jessie Tabler. Services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill. Burial will follow in the Chesterhill Cemetery.
