Obituary

Virgil Delmer Porter, 77 of Waterford, died on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at 7:30 A.M. at the Muskingum Valley Nursing Center in Beverly. He was born on January 7, 1934 in Keithtown, Ohio to the late Nolan and Ethel Groves Porter. He owned and operated the Mill Street Machine Shop in Waterford and belonged to the Beverly Eagles #3665. He is survived by his loving companion Nancy Long of the home, four sons, Irvin Porter of Beverly, Leon Porter of Waterford, Mark Porter of Beverly and Aaron Porter of Elba, one daughter, Beverly Justas of Cambridge, three brothers, Rev. Jim Porter of South Olive, Carlos Porter of Dexter City, and Cletus Porter of Beverly, two sisters, Rev. Janis Clark of Hackney, and Gladys Tom of Zanesville, 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, one son Donald and one daughter, Brenda. A caring cremation is taking place at Virgil's request. A burial will be held at a later date and time.
