Virgil L. White, 80, of 1011 N. High Street Malta, passed away at 7:10 p.m. June 30, 2009 at the Willow Haven Care Center in Zanesville.

He was born April 4, 1929 in Muskingum County the son of the late Howard Curtis White and Mary Roberts White. He was retired from Ohio Ferro Alloy and was a veteran of the Korean war. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving is one son, Kevin (Sabrina) White of Philo; three grandchildern; two great grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Shook of Blue Rock; several nieces and nephews; great-great nieces, Caglea Shook and Paige Confer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marion, who died in 2003; five brothers, George, Edward, Galen, Delmar, and Edgar White.

Calling hours will be held 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 3, 2009 at the funeral home with burial with military rites by the Morgan County Veterans in the McConnelsville Cemetery.
