Virginia (Ginny) Brown, 94, of McConnelsville, passed away on Sun., Jan. 26, 2014 at the Mt. Carmel East Hospital. She was born on July 9, 1919 in Alexandria, Ohio to the late Wilber and Hazel Penn Patterson. She retired from North American Rockwell in Columbus after 25 years and was a member of the Malta United Methodist Church. She is survived by her son Donald (Brenda) Brown of Pataskala, 2 sisters, Martha Hildebrand and Jane (Norman) Warline both of Mt. Gilead, 2 grandsons, Shawn (Kristina) Brown and Shannon (Jenny) Brown, 4 great grandsons, Gavin, Tyler, Nate and Austin and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Derald B. Brown, a brother, Donald Patterson and a sister, Iris Mac Gregor. Services will be held on Thur., Jan. 30, 2014 at 6:00 P.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville with Pastor Bill Bentley and Russ Harper officiating. Friends may call on the family from 4-6 P.M. on the day of the services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Malta United Methodist Church Youth Building.
