Virginia A. "Pete" Cain, 69, of McConnelsville, passed away on Weds, Oct. 5, 2022 at the Marietta Memorial Hospital.  She was born on May 16, 1953 in McConnelsville to the late Clarence and JoAnn Myers West.  She is survived by 3 sons, Chuck Cain, Dean Cain and Tom Cain all of Stockport, 2 brothers, David West and Mike West both of McConnelsville, a sister, Jennifer Will of Pomeroy and 5 grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Richard West and Robert Spencer, a sister, Amy Ellis and a granddaughter, Lynsey Cain.  Services will be held on Sat, Oct. 8, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville with burial following in the Beverly Cemetery.  Friends may call on the family 1 hour prior to the services.  To send a note of condolence to the family go to www.matheneyfh.com.
