Obituary

Vivian Garrett Richardson, 82, of 9133 N. St. Rt. 376 McConnelsville, passed away peacefully at 5:20 p.m. Saturday June 19, 2009 at the Genesis Good Samaritan Medical Center surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Vivian was born June 11,1927 to the late Sidney and Emma (Darringer) Garrett. A life member of Solomons Lutheran Church on Dutch Hill she was very active in the WELCA where she served as past president and treasurer. She also taught Sunday School for many years. Vivian was a 50+ year member of the Morgan County Farm Bureau. In 2008 she was inducted into the Farm Bureau Hall Of Fame for her many years of service on the Membership Committee. She was an avid bowler and member of the Eureka Club.

Vivian is survived by her husband of 62 years, Donald C. Richardson. They were married June 15, 1947; three sons, Dan (Neva) Richardson of McConnelsville, Dennis Richardson of Lebanon, and Sid (Pam) Richardson of McConnelsville; seven grandchildren, Amanda (Steve) Southall of Blue Rock, Andrea (Adam) Wainwright of New Lexington, Brian Richardson of McConnelsville, Chad (Dana) Richardson of Cincinnati, Emily (Jacob) Sappenfield of Boca Raton, Fl., and Maggie and Marcus Richardson of McConnelsville; two step grandchildren, Natasha (Eric) Schaas of Blacklick and Michael (Annette) Davis of New Lexington; two brothers, Charles (Shelba) Garrett of Malta, and Jim Garrett of McConnelsville; great grandchildren include, Bradley, Mikayla, Creed and Karlee Southall, Abby and Autumn Wainwright, and Aven Schass; two sisters, Carma (Robert) Kalb of McConnelsville, and Ruby Shook of Blue Rock; and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Sunday June 21, 2009 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville and 10-11 a.m. Monday at the church. Funeral services will be Monday 11:00 a.m. June 22, 2009 at the Solomons Lutheran Church on Dutch Hill with the Pastor Albert Laese officiating with the burial in Dutch Hill Cemetery.
