Obituary

Vivian Mae Smith Thompson, age 90, of Navarre, Ohio, passed away at 7:20 a.m. Thursday, September 3, 2020 At Aultman Hospital

in Canton, Ohio. She was born in Sharpsburg, Ohio on September 2, 1930, a daughter of the late William and Jesse Hill Smith.

She was a faithful member of Trinity Gospel Temple in Canton and Bethel Wesleyan Church near Amesville, Ohio. She worked for the Canton City School System as a Librarian at Belden School.

Vivian is survived by her daughter Brenda Goins of Navarre, 1 grandson, Scott Goins and wife Sarah, 2 great grandchildren, Christopher and Chase Goins, 1 brother, Randy Smith and wife Sandra of Little Hocking, 3 sisters, Donna Hale and husband Raymond of Columbus, Wanda Tate of Canal Winchester, and Karen Norman and husband Larry of McConnelsville, also a special friend, Marilora. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Richard Thompson and six siblings: Gayle, Argyle, Louise, Paul, Robert, and Roger.

Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 7, at Bethel Wesleyan Church with Pastor Steve Hale officiating. Burial will be in the Chesterhill Cemetery.
