Obituary

Waldo Leon Weeks, 85, of Stockport, Ohio, went to sleep in the Lord January 13, 2025. He was born August 13, 1939, to Helen Jackson Weeks and Clifford H. Weeks in Hicksville, Ohio. He was an industrious young lad  learning from GOD's creations on his aunts and uncle's farm and in the woods he roamed and played in . He attended  Mount Vernon Academy and graduated in the class of  1957, and later attended Washington Missionary  College in Tacoma Park, MD. Waldo was a truck driver by trade, traveling all lower Continental United States, Canada, and Mexico. He owned his own Parcel Delivery Service during his later years. He was very active in the Seventh-Day Adventist Church as a lay minister, and as a freelance Literature Evangelist. Waldo was also associated  with United Prison Ministries, International, in Verbeena, AL., The Voice of Mexico, The Cuba Project, and The Belize Literature  and Christian Radio Project. He also distributed hundreds of thousands of  Bibles, Christian Books,  and Christ-centered literature in both English and Spanish during his lifetime. He was a member of  The Citadel of Historic Seventh-day Adventist Believers. Waldo is survived by wife, Barbara Cummings Matson Weeks; his son, Timothy Weeks of  Medina, Ohio; and his sister, Joan Markel of Zanesville, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents;  his daughter, Christine Weeks;  and brothers, Maurice and Clair Weeks; and his sisters, Velda Shull and Sharon Cross. At his request, a cremation will take place and a graveside service will be held at the Dale Cemetery at a later date. Miller-Huck Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
