Walter F. Voland, 83, of Stockport, Ohio, died on Sunday, February 19, 2012 at 2:45 A.M. at the Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born on October 25, 1928 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Nicholas and Anna Marie Bowyer Voland. He was a retired truck driver for Great Lakes Cheese in Newberry, Ohio and attended the Twinsburg Church of Christ. He was also a member of the Order of Eagles #2187 in McConnelsville. He is survived by three sons, Terry L. (Jeanie) Voland of Chesterhill, Les P. Voland of Stockport, and Larry N. Voland of Cleveland, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Louise Sudar Voland and one brother, Alfred Voland. Services will be held on Friday, February 24, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville with Evang. Burrell Garren officiating. Burial will follow in the Pennsville Cemetery. Friends may call on the family on Thursday, February 23, 2012 from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
