Obituary

Wanda Anderson Owens, 81, of McConnelsville, passed away at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, May 31, 2015, at her home in McConnelsville.

She was born January 21, 1934, in Nelsonville, to the late William L. Hunter and Myrtle Scott Hunter.

Wanda was a homemaker and did general cleaning for several people in the McConnelsville area for many years. She was a former member of the Meigs Church of Christ, and was a member of the Malta VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by three daughters, Peggy Gibeaut, Poly Stack, both of Byesville, and Juanita Ferguson of Corning; one son, Jimmy Junior Anderson of McConnelsville; five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Norma Price of McConnelsville, and Rosemary Duncan of Hackney; two brothers, Billy Hunter of McConnelsville, and Jerry Hunter of Indianapolis, IN.

* In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Anderson; her second husband, Orville Owens; a son, Mark Eugene Anderson; two sisters, Brenda Duncan and Sandra Anderson; three brothers, Jack, Tom and Darrell Hunter; and a granddaughter, Teresa Caplinger.

Calling hours will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, June 5, at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville.

A graveside service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Meigs Cemetery, where Wanda will be laid to rest beside her husband James.
