Wanda "Jean" Scott passed away at midnight, Fri. June 27, 2024 at The Oaks at Bethesda. She was born May 8, 1935, to Howard and Marie (Quinn) Janes, in Morgan Co., Ohio. She married her high school sweetheart, James "Ted" Scott, On Aug. 8, 1953, who preceded her in death, on Oct. 13, 2021. In healthier days, Jean loved to bake, shop, and travel on bus trips all over the country with dad. She was a member of South Zanesville United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ted, her parents, Howard and Marie (Quinn) Janes, stepmother, Flo Janes, and a baby brother Jackie Janes. She is survived by her children and spouses, Jim (Kim) Scott, Trudy (Kevin) Gore and Julie (Austin) McMillion, grandchildren, Ashley (Lance) Hoffman, Sarah (Chris) Chadwick, and Olivia (Marcus) Goddard, great-grandchildren Olivia Church, Jamie Chadwick, Spencer and Nash Goddard, stepsister Jo Anne Casto and sisters-in-laws, Connie Wise and Polly Moye. Funeral service will be held Tues. July 2, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville with burial following in the Stockport Cemetery.
