Wanda L. Thomas, 80, of 42 East Liberty Ave. McConnelsville, passed away peacefully at 1:03 a.m. Sunday, March 8, 2009 at the Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville. She was born December 30, 1928 in Stockport.

Wanda was a retired insurance agent and co owner of the Roberts & Thomas Insurance Agency of McConnelsville. She was a a member of the Valley Chapter #19 O.E.S. of McConnelsville and the American Legion Post #24 Auxillary. She is survived by a son, Terry Roberts of McConnelsville; a brother, Bill (Betty) Morris of Newark; five grandchildren, Trent Roberts, Kim Roberts, Staci (Chip) Arnold, Jamie (Marci) Duskey, Jason (Chasity) Duskey; eight great garndchildren, Miranda Duskey, Laekin Westfall, Seth Roberts, Madison, Kaylie and Joel Duskey, Cooper Arnold, Jamie Duskey; son-in-law, Russell Duskey; brother-in-law, Harmon (Carolyn) Thomas; and her dog, Tammy.

She was preceeded in death by her parents, Dean Shinn and La Verne Rowland Morris; husband, Bill Thomas; daughter, Kaye Duskey; son, Thomas Roberts; two brothers, Wendall and Junior Shinn.

Calling hours will be 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville.

A funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at the funeral home with Harmon Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery near Malta.
