Wayne Lee Eppley, 91, of McConnelsville passed away at 6:23 p.m. Monday evening at his home with his wife and children by his side.He was born August 14, 1926 to the late Jess and Lula Eppley and was preceded in death by a brother Earl Eppley and a sister Louella (Eppley ) Watts. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Mary Lou Miller Eppley and his four children; Marjorie (Ron) Moore, George (Kay) Eppley,  Jim (Lorna)) Eppley, Joyce (Steve) Campbell; fourteen grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. Wayne was a graduate of Deavertown High School. He was a member of the Solomons Lutheran Church where he served the church council for many years. He enjoyed farming on Dutch Hill with the help of his family. He enjoyed carpentry and making items for his family and friends. We all knew Wayne for his jolly and kind ways in which he gave to his family, neighbors, and friends. He will be missed. Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Solomons Lutheran Church near Eagleport. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the church. He will be laid to rest in the church cemetery. Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville is entrusted with the arrangements.
