Wendell A. Mayle Sr., 53, of Columbus, died Monday, March 7, 2011 at 3:42 A.M. at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on March 22, 1957 in Athens, Ohio to Arlis and Wanda Mayle. He was a laborer for the Gallion Custom Concrete Company in Columbus and a member of the Apostolic Faith Light House Church in Columbus. He is survived by his parents, Arlis and Wanda Mayle of Columbus, his wife of 21 years, Debra Thompson Mayle of the home, one son Wendell Mayle Jr. of Akron, one daughter, Penny Jarvis of Green, Ohio, three step-daughters, Jessie Skinner of Columbus, Tika Thompson of New Plymouth, Ohio, and Elisha Thompson of McArthur, two sisters, Victoria Collier of Columbus and Debra Kidd of Columbus, and 11 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by one brother, Stevie Mayle and three sisters, Freda, Anita and Tracy Mayle. Services will be held on Friday, March 11, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at the Mt Hermon Church near Amesville with Pastor Dennis Barron officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hermon Cemetery. Friends may call on the family on Thursday, March 10, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill.
