Wendy J. Waite, 66, of Stockport, passed away on Sat, Nov. 6, 2021 at the Marietta Memorial Hospital.  She was born on Feb. 10, 1955 in Ravenna, Ohio to the late John and Zona Heartleben Gillard.  She was the director for Morgan County Tourism and ran the events center in McConnelsville.  Wendy had a great love of God and was a member of the Tabor Ridge Church of Christ where she was very active in all church activities.  She also was very active in helping others in need and served in any capacity in all kinds of organizations in Morgan and Washington counties.  She is survived by her husband William "Billy" Waite of the home, 2 sons, Jason (Kellie) Waite of Stockport and Justin (Joan) Waite of Stockport, a brother John Gillard of Marietta, 3 sisters, Rita Baker of Hesperia, Ca, Ruth Gillespie of Stockport and Clara Gillard of Stockport and 4 grandchildren, Christopher (Alex) Waite, Casey Waite, Joe Schramm and Charlie Waite.  She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Larry Gillard and 2 sisters, Georgia Pitz and Mary Uhlman.  Services will be held on Fri, Nov. 12, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at the Tabor Ridge Church of Christ with Burial following in the Wilson Cemetery.  A visitation will be held on Thurs, Nov. 11 from 4-8 P.M. at the Tabor Ridge Church of Christ.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Story Book Trail OVAC Church Camp through Tabor Ridge Church of Christ.  Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill is handling the arrangements.  To send a note of condolence to the family go to www.matheneyfh.com.
