William Clifford Bailey Sr., age 89, of Stockport, Ohio passed away in the arms of the Lord at 2:56 p.m. on Sunday, September 14, 2014 at his residence which he shared with his grandchildren William and Christina Bailey. He was born August 15, 1925 in Grantsville, West Virginia, a son of the late Samuel W. and Rose Nell States Bailey. He was of the Protestant faith, an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, and a retired Heating and Plumbing serviceman. He loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and was a lover of good lemon meringue pie. William is survived by 3 sons: Clarence (Ava) Baliey of Stockport, William "Bill" Bailey Jr. of Stockport, Samuel "Sam" (Priscilla) Bailey of Marietta; 1 daughter: Mae (Yancy) Bailey of Stockport; 9 grandchildren, 1 great grand child, 1 step-great grand child, 2 setp-great great grandchildren. Other than his parents, William was preceded by his wife, Lillie Taylor Bailey, 3 brothers,4 sisters, and 1 great grandchild. Service will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2014, 11:00 a.m., at Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill. Burial will be in Tabor Cemetery.
