William R. Beatty, age 69, of Chesterhill, Ohio, passed away at 5:10 a.m. Friday, December 1, 2017 in McConnelsville at the Highland Oaks Health Center. He was born December 31, 1947 in Chesterhill, a son of the late Durward and Faye Steffy Beatty. Bill was a graduate of Wright State University in Dayton. He was a Bookeeper for the Chesterhill Fire Department, Burr Oak State Lodge, and the Village of Chesterhill. He attended the Chesterhill United Methodist Church and was a member of the Fire Department for several years. He is survived by 1 brother: Bob (Karen) Beatty of Chesterhill; 1 sister: Betty (John) Perkins of Troy, Ohio; several nieces, nephews, and a special cousin, Gloria Brown of Zanesville. Service will be held on Monday, December 4, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill.
