Obituary

William C. "Bill" Harman, 78, 0f McConnelsville passed away at 7:55 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at the Marietta Memorial Hospital in Marietta. He was born July 14,1936 in Morgan County to the late Herbert Harman and Beulah Taylor Harman. Bill was a farmer and a welder. He worked for A.E.P. at the Muskingum River Plant in Beverly for 34 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was a member of the American Legion Post #24 of McConnelsville. Bill also served as a 4-H Advisor for 35 years. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Lucy Wilson Harman, three daughters Tracie (Troy) Wagoner of McConnelsville, Rhonda (Randy) Duskey of Beverly, and Teri (Orin) Palmer of Beverly, three foster daughters Brenda Taylor of Kentucky, Terri Shook of Cincinnati, and Renee Anderson of McConnelsville, nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren, a sister Mary Ellen Chipps of McConnelsville and a brother Frank Harman of McConnelsville. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Rob Fling and a daughter Rebecca Fling, two brothers Dick and George Harman, and a grandson Travis Wagoner. Calling hours will be Friday, April 17, 2015 from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the McKendree United Methodist Church where funeral services will be held Saturday, April 18,2015 at 1:00 p.m. Bill will be laid to rest in McKendree Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #24 Color Guard. Memorial contributions may be made to MOCO Team Blue 62 East Main St. McConnelsville or to the M. & M.
