William M. "Bill" Elliott, 89, of 261 Oakwood Dr., McConnelsville, passed away Thursday, November 25, 2010 at 6:15 a.m. at the Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville.

He was born September 10, 1921 in Morgan County to the late Ernest M. Elliott and Wilda McElfresh Elliott. Bill was the owner of Elliott Lumber Company in Malta for over 60 years. He was a member of the Malta United Methodist Church and was an Army veteran of WWII. He was also a member of the V.F.W. Post 4713 of Malta and the American Legion Post 24 of McConnelsville and the Corinthian Lodge # 111 F.& A.M. of McConnelsville.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lois M. Magruder Elliott; a daughter, Deborah (Nicolas) Dubeling of Zanesville; a son, William P. Elliott of Malta; a brother, Russell Keith Elliott of Crooksville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Catherine Elliott, and Joan Julia Elliott.
