STOCKPORT - William T. Hayes, age 87, of North Street, Stockport, died Sunday, March 22, 2009 at 11:10 a.m. his residence. He was born on May 12, 1921 in Starr, Ohio to Francis J. Hayes & Alice Bolin Hayes. He was a Mechanical Engineer for Malta Manufacturing in Malta. He was in the U.S. Army and a Veteran of WWII. He was a member of the Tabor Ridge Church of Christ. Survived by one son, Edward Niel Hayes of Powell; two daughters, Carol Smith of McConnelsville, and Diana (Randy) Cline of Stockport; one brother, Francis J. Hayes of Zaleski; four sisters, Margaret Woods of Columbus, Helen West of Wapakoneta, Marilyn West and Martha Molihan both of Zaleski; five grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and six step-great grandchildren; and the dedicated care givers who became part of the family Preceded by wife, Alice K. Perry Hayes; and one sister, Clara Marie Colborne. Service is Friday, March 27, 2009 at11:00 a.m. Matheney Funeral Home, McConnelsville. Evang. Sam Bungard is officiating.
