Wilma Jean Mautz, 96, of Malta, passed away on Mon, Jan. 27, 2025 at her residence.  She was born on March 28, 1928 in Pennsville, Ohio to the late John and Anna Graham Wetherell.  She worked for over 33 years as the Morgan County Clerk of Courts.  She was a member of the Malta Methodist Church, Morgan Co. Women's Republican Club and a past Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star in McConnelsville.  She is survived by 2 sons, Larry (Anita) Gessel of McConnelsville and Thomas Gessel of Malta, a daughter, Barbara (Bill) Greuey of Malta, 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her 1st husband, Donald Gessel, 2nd husband, Floyd Mautz and a sister, Mary Kathren Coleman.  A private graveside service will take place on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2025 at the McConnelsville Cemetery.  Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville is handling the arrangements.  To send a note of condolence to the family go to www.matheneyfh.com.
