Winifred C. Davis, 95, of the Riverside Country Care Center in McConnelsville formerly of Malta passed away Saturday April 14,2012 at 3:00 a.m. at the nursing home.

She was born March 14,1917 in Morgan County to the late Jesse S. Chappelear and Mary Rose Drake Chappelear. Winifred was a homemaker and was a member of the Wolf Creek Church Of Christ.

She is survived by two sisters, Betty Kovach of Ann Arbor, MI and Ilah Charlene Chappelear of Columbus; two brothers, Raymond Chappelear of Milford Center and Ronald Chappelear of Malta; a brother-in-law, Robert Towles of Toledo.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Davis; six sisters, Marjorie Wright, Margaret Mates, Rosemary Ruth Simmons, Lois Chappelear, Sarah Burks, Sandra Drake Towles; two brothers, Robert W. and Richard D. Chappelear.

Calling hours will be Wednesday April 18, 2012 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Harmon Thomas officiating. The burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery.
