Winnifred Ann McGrath Shrivers, 88, of McConnelsville, died Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 4:25p.m. at the Riverside Country Care Center in McConnelsville. She was born April 12, 1921 in McConnelsville to the late Chester R. and Bessie E. Walker Murray. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, OES Valley #19 of McConnelsville where she was the past Matron, the White Shrine in Columbus, DAR, Study Club, American Legion Post #24 Auxiliary, and a charter member of the Alpha Patron OCCL of McConnelsville. She is survived by two daughters, Susie (Terry) Bragg of McConnelsville, and Sharon (Larry) Slater of Marietta, two step-sons, Eddie (Charlotte) McGrath of Columbus, and Junior (Pat) Shivers of McConnelsville, two step-daughters, Ann (Roger) Tedrow of Columbus, and Sue (Joe) Wilson of New Concord, six grandchildren, Teri Lynne (Phil) Childs, Tim (Kim) Bragg, Tom (Melaine) Bragg, Tracy (Amy) Bragg, and Julie (Jeff) Hammons, seventeen, step-grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and several step great and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Bernard (Bud) McGrath, second husband, Bernard Shrivers, two brothers, Roy and Wendel Murray, one step-son, Randy Shrivers, one step-daughter Joyce Bartimus and a grandson Jeffery Slater. Services will be held Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at 11:00a.m at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville with burial following at the McConnelsville Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday, November 10 from 2-4 and 7-8:30p.m. with OES services at 8:30p.m. at the Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the M&M Fire Department.
