Bruce Bankes

Bruce Bankes, 63, of Stockport, passed away on Tues, June 27, 2023 at his residence.  He was born on July 19, 1959 in Zanesville, Ohio to Raymond and Maxine Cramblett Bankes.  He worked for the Central Ohio Coal Company for many years and then spent 32 years as a welder for AEP in the traveling maintenance dept.  He was a Deacon and an Elder of the Stockport Church of Christ and was the head of their grief share program.  He is survived by his mother, Maxine Bankes of Zanesville, wife, Kathy Winstanley Bankes of the home, a brother, Craig Bankes of Zanesville, nephews, Brandon and Braden Bankes both of Zanesville and 8 grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his father and a son Kyle Bankes.  A service will be held on Fri, June 30, 2023 at 7:00 P.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville.  Friends may call on the family from 5-7 P.M. on the day of the services.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Stockport Church of Christ Greif Share Program.  To send a note of condolences to the family go to www.matheneyfh.com.
